From local workshop, to national leader in mobile wheel repair
We started out with a simple goal: to make alloy wheel repair faster, safer and more convenient for everyone.
What started as one of the largest wheel repair workshops in Europe has since grown into a rapidly growing network of mobile specialists, trusted by dealerships, fleets and drivers across the UK.
From pioneering the first CNC lathe inside a van, to developing our exclusive Micro Lenco technology, we have consistently led the way in innovation and quality.

April 2016 – March 2017: The idea becomes reality
DA Techs was founded by Phil Barnard and Jamie Baxter with a bold vision: to transform the way alloy wheels are repaired.
At the time, traditional repairs meant sending wheels away to factories. This has always been a slow, expensive and inconvenient process for both businesses and drivers.
In 2016, we disrupted the market by developing and launching the UK’s first mobile CNC diamond-cut lathe van.
For the first time, wheels could be repaired to a factory-quality finish on-site, the same day. This breakthrough instantly set DA Techs apart and laid the foundations for our future growth.
October 2017 – June 2019: Growth and recognition
By October 2017 we moved into premises in Adlington, focusing on powder coating and static lathe technology.
During this period, we built a reputation for quality and reliability. Word spread across the automotive sector and soon we were working with some of the country’s leading dealership groups and auction houses.
We quickly outgrew the unit due to unprecedented customer demand and developed the first custom-made van entirely to DA Techs’ workshop specification.
August 2019 – October 2020: Scaling up and innovating further
By 2019, demand for our services was growing rapidly.
Due to our innovative approach to business development and growth, we were awarded a MADE SMARTER grant. This was closely followed by a research and development project with Sheffield-based AMRC.
During this time we invested in technologies to digitise workflow processes specifically for the wheel repair market.
Having heavily invested funding and research into the business, we created and deployed the UK’s first custom made on-site Wheel Pod, designed and developed to offer large volume wheel refurbishment and repair to trade customers across the UK.
A second MADE SMARTER grant helped further develop software solutions to enable the digitisation of Wheel Pods and vans to allow operational efficiency and productivity to be monitored via the cloud irrespective of geographical obstacles.
In October 2020, we expanded further into even bigger premises at our Adlington HQ, ensuring service, support and access to body repair are still under one roof.
Our reputation as industry innovators was firmly established, with DA Techs recognised as the gold standard for mobile alloy wheel repairs.
2021–2022: National expansion and securing game-changing technology
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, DA Techs continued to expand. Dealership groups, fleets and private drivers across the country relied on us more than ever to provide fast, safe and reliable repairs on-site.
We also invested in training and our HQ workshop, ensuring even the most complex or heavily damaged wheels could be restored to manufacturer standards, giving customers a complete solution.
In February 2022, we visited Lenco Holdings in Florida to discuss the supply of the Lenco M200 machine in the UK and Europe, sign a supply deal and start significant joint development.
2023 – Present: Cementing our reputation as industry leaders
December 2023 saw the first Micro Lenco Diamond Cut Alloy Wheel Van launched, which was rapidly followed by more as we expanded through franchising.
Today, DA Techs operates a growing national fleet of mobile workshops, trusted by customers across the country.
With over 500,000 wheels repaired, exclusive access to the Micro Lenco CNC lathe and the safest, most advanced vans in the UK, we are proud to be the No1 choice for mobile alloy wheel repair.
But we’re not standing still. Our focus on innovation, technician safety and customer convenience continues to drive us forward.
